It’s a great time after a cool winter to “hop” into the Senior Center to “Meet and Greet” old and new friends. Everyday activities shown below are open to all guests who can enjoy a cup of coffee and snacks served by our hostess. Have a suggestion or request for a game? Let our hostess know. Historic card and board games are available. We’re always looking forward to new ideas.

🥗 HEALTHY EATING AND NUTRITION: Play an important role in improving overall well-being, especially in senior years. Helpful tips from WebMD:
- Avoid buffets.
- Eat smaller portions.
- Choose carbohydrates low in sugar, high fiber.
- Drink low-sugar or sugar-free beverages.
- Choose fruit for dessert.
- Keep celery and carrot sticks in refrigerator for on-the-go snacks.
- Remove salt shaker from table.
🍌 NUTRITION: Meals-On-Wheels Senior Nutrition Program: Five easy to prepare meals consisting of meat entrée, starch, and vegetable along with half-gallon low-fat milk are delivered every Monday to your home. Bananas compliments of Helendale Senior Outreach, plus a weekly “surprise” from the Silver Lakes Women’s Golf Club. Cost $20.00. Contact Nyla (951) 314-7235.
💪 CHAIR EXERCISES: A great way to “get physical” under the guidance of an excellent “chair leader.” Enthusiasm for this easy, comfortable program is growing by “chair and chair.” Class begins 10:30 the First & Third Friday. “Spring in-to” this activity for improved health and fellowship.
